Launching The Art of Science in the UK

First day – Oxford

Of course we had to try playing the brand new, updated The Art of Science!

Two Oxford post-docs writing for Bang! Science magazine

Rent a car, get out of London, find our distributor outside Swindon. Going the wrong way. Driving on the wrong side of the road. Everything taking ages. Driving in the beautiful countryside from Swindon to Oxford, on a tiny road as we missed the motorway exit. Then finally – arriving in Oxford at 18 in the evening! Completely impossible to park. Still, we really got to enjoy the pittoresque town of Oxford. Meeting a lot of helpful people, enthusiastic science students, sponsoring The Art of Science to Science magazine Bang!, and pubs all around town. (They have such a board game pub culture here in England, as well as plenty of quiz nights) Having the best pub dinner at Le Turf (see pictures), the cutest student pub, hidden in an alley.

Great fish and chips at Le Turf, an Oxford student pub
